“As soon as I first came through the doors at MyGo I was welcomed and made to feel confident about my career aspirations” - Paul Dowding, 24, Ipswich.
Unaware of what vacancies were available locally, and with no clear-cut pathway on how he was going to achieve his goals, Paul came to MyGo seeking expert career advice. Paul’s coach Denise booked him onto several courses and sessions at MyGo including MyInfo – a session focused on highlighting current job vacancies in the local area; MyCV – a group session focused on writing and improving CVs for specific roles and a BT traineeship which was organised by MyGo.
After attending a MyGo Employment Day, and regular 1:1 sessions with Employer Relationship Manager Richard, Paul was one of few MyGo customers put forward for an exclusive job vacancy at insurance giant AXA.
With additional interview support from his coach and preparation from Richard, Paul successfully passed his interviews and was offered a full-time position at AXA Insurance as a Claims Handler.
“Throughout my period of unemployment both my coach Denise, and Richard, worked very hard behind the scenes to secure me work with 100% commitment” – Paul Dowding
“Paul always showed enthusiasm and motivation to find work. Both Richard and I met Paul regularly and contacted employers directly to promote him for any opportunities he was suited to.
“Paul is a very polite young man who has made full use of the support on offer at MyGo, he has now found himself a fantastic career with a bright future ahead of him” – Denise, MyGo Coach
“Denise and I are both delighted with the progress made by Paul, he will go on to do great things” – Richard Osborne, Employer Relationship Manager
