Depressed, facing severe housing issues and suffering from poor sleeping patterns Jack was struggling to find his way to start working towards his dream career of being a conservationist. Unable to complete a work experience placement due to his health, Jack was introduced to his MyGo coaches Lisa & Tracy. Together they started to build a plan.
Organising an appointment with Suffolk Wellbeing to ensure Jack was receiving all the necessary health support, his coaches also arranged for an on-site representative from Talent Match to meet with him to discuss opportunities to help him get started in his career.
After successfully completing a Work Programme with Papworth Trust, alongside in-house MyGo employability training, Jack had started building up his confidence and work prospects, with a clearer vision of how he planned to work towards his career goals.
Together Jack and his Coaches found roles that would fit around his troubled sleeping patterns; putting him forward for a night-shift vacancy at a local Premier Inn on the Ipswich waterfront. With guidance through the application and interview process Jack was one of few successful applicants earning himself a 40 hour contract, allowing time out of work for him to work towards his dream career of being a conservationist.
“These coaches know what they’re doing. Listen to what they have to say and appreciate their services!” – Jack, on the support offered to him by his coaches at MyGo.
Lisa, on of Jack’s MyGo coaches said – “The turnaround I have seen in Jack since I saw him first in October 2016 has been nothing short of remarkable! I’m so very proud of the transition that I’ve had the pleasure of being part of. Well done Jack!”
